The word “Padma” means the lotus flower. In the Hindu mythology, the lotus is the most revered flower. The lotus represents spiritual growth and prosperity. Lotuses grow in murky water and rise up without stains, they are often viewed as a symbol of purity. Since they return to the murky water each evening and open their blooms at the break of day, lotus flowers are also symbols of strength, resilience, and rebirth In this room, the countless lotuses with their curling stems and fanlike leaves floating on the banks of Krishana’s beloved Yamuna.
