Monsoon is the most romantic time of the year. It presages cooler weather. It purifies and invigorates. It is a much awaited and celebrated season. Everything starts to look a lot greener and cleaner. Swings, called hindolas, are suspended from trees and everyone seems to be in a joyous merry state. Many poems are written in praise of the love between Krishna and his beloved companion radha. The dark monsoon clouds and the sound of thunder draws Radha closer to Krishna. The zig zag motifs called leheriya is a common textile seen during this time. Women in Rajasthan wear leheriya only during Sawan.

The 200-year-old pichhvai hanging in this room, is of krishna Leela, pass times of krishna and Radha. It is a stunning work of art, very rare to find.
