Every corner at Laalee is a celebration of the life of Krishna! The central figure of the design inspiration and concept of this property. Every space commemorates love in different forms! Whether it's the peacocks wooing the peahens in the Mayur suite, or the countless lotuses being teased by the birds. The frolicking cows and calves jumping in joy; a mother playing with her new born child with countless toys in the utsav room. Each wall, each motif is hand painted and is literally a labour of love. An offering of devotion to my beloved Krishna. Each room follows a theme to reveal the story of Krishna. The significance becomes apparent to all seekers as the simple stories are fraught with deep spiritual meaning.

PADMA
The word “Padma” means the lotus flower. In the Hindu mythology, the lotus is the most revered flower. The lotus represents spiritual growth and prosperity. Lotuses grow in murky water and rise up without stains, they are often viewed as a symbol of purity. Since they return to the murky water each evening and open their blooms at the break of day, lotus flowers are also symbols of strength, resilience, and rebirth

PADMA

DIWALI
Diwali is one of the most significant and important Hindu festival celebrated in India. Spread over five days, one starts preparing for almost one month in advance. Diwali always falls on the new moon night in the Hindu month of Kartik. It’s a dark night and people light rows of oil lamps and burn fire crackers to illuminate their homes. Diwali symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.
Approximately 630 man hours were spent in the making of this room. Seven skilled craftsmen who specialize in the age old craft of mirror work, a skill passed on from father to son.worked in making "Diwali" so beautiful. Each piece of delicate convex mirror is hand cut and pasted on the ceiling and niches one by one. Also the walls are painted by skilled Artists using gold and silver foil.

Krishna, being a full-fledged cowherd, his favourite companion were naturally the cows. He would spend maximum time of the day with cows and calves. He would often play the flute while the cows grazed in the meadows of Vrindavan.

The main feature walls has a hand painted picture of baby Krishna, in gold, on his cradle and all around him and in front of him are his numerous toys, kept to keep the young infant entertained.

Jal literally means Water. It is what helps us keep cool in the summer. Summer time also known as Ushankal, at the Krishna temple is one of the most special times. When it comes to pampering the Lord, the focus is always his ultimate comfort. In the scorching summer heat of Rajasthan, to keep the lord cool and comfortable is the main focus of service during this time.
Approximately 285 man hours were used to hand paint the motifs on the wall by skilled Rajasthani artists using a single hair brush with pigment paints.

Sankrant
Makkar sankrant is celebrated with great fervour in Jaipur. The festival of kites is celebrated across the city where everyone, big or small, rich or poor, all come together and play in this game of kite flying. The whole city seems to have moved to the terrace on this day and one can barely see the sky. Its full of kites. Special treats made of sesame seeds are made along with fritters and samosas.

Sankrant

Makkar sankrant is celebrated with great fervour in Jaipur. The festival of kites is celebrated across the city where everyone, big or small, rich or poor, all come together and play in this game of kite flying. The whole city seems to have moved to the terrace on this day and one can barely see the sky. Its full of kites. Special treats made of sesame seeds are made along with fritters and samosas.

Everything starts to look a lot greener and cleaner. Swings, called hindolas, are suspended from trees and everyone seems to be in a joyous merry state.

A season that ushers in a new leaves on trees, beautiful, colourful flowers, a great pleasant weather and many festivals like Holi, Basant Panchami, Kunj ekadashi, etc. Here in this room, spring flowers that bloom at this time of the year, are hand painted on the walls. Outside the large windows, the flower bed also have seasonal flowers blooming and a huge Pomegranate tree, which also symbolizes new birth and growth in many cultures.
